LeadershipLeadership Structure of the Norristown Area Communities That Care Initiative
Norristown Area Communities That Care For Youth is governed by a collaborative board of community residents, youth, private and public agency representatives, law enforcement, and school district representatives. The CTC for Youth board is responsible for advising the Steering Committee and the Community Mobilizer regarding community needs, programmatic responses to the Risk and Resource Assessment, gaps in current services to youth and their families and problem solving creative solutions to barriers to effective CTC implementation. The CTC for Youth Board reviews and provides final approval of the Risk and Resource Assessments and acceptance of the priority risk factors as well as approval of the prevention strategies. The CTC for Youth Board has active participation from more than 40 members. Board members serve on five active committees: Program/Resource Development; Education/Marketing; Youth Committee; New Member Orientation/Recruitment; and the Steering Committee. Chairpersons of the CTC for Youth Board are elected by the board in two-year cycles.
